About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Internal Controls to support Haleons mission to Deliver Better Everyday Health with Humanity by partnering with the senior business leaders to proactively identify and manage risks in accordance with Risk Management process and Internal Controls Framework which enables sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing robust Risk Management and Internal Control Framework across commercial organisation and manufacturing site.
• Partnering with senior business leaders and functional leads to proactively identify and manage risks associated with markets business strategies. Being able to provide pragmatic solutions for risk management.
• Acting as a trusted advisor to the business and functions in driving end-to-end process/controls improvement.
• Preparing the scope of Internal Audit Universe for endorsement by Audit Committee Members and being point of contact for Internal Audit and other monitoring teams to enhance enterprise oversight.
• Working with outsourced Internal Audit team and business process owners to ensure timely completion of audits as per the approved Internal Audit plan.
• Providing regular reports to senior business leaders and Board of Directors on status of Internal Control Framework emerging risks and suggest improvements. Reviewing monitoring results to determine emerging trends and risks and drive effective CAPAs.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams and other business partners to assess the continuous improvement needs in operational excellence of Compliance program.

Your profile:

Essential Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in business administration Law Finance or other applicable degree.
• Proven track record of successfully leading Audit and Governance functions.
• Expert level knowledge of internal control framework and risk management principles and ability to translate theory into practice.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to large and small audiences with the ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organisation.

Additional Requirements:

• Qualified in highly regulated areas such as accounting forensic accounting audit and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively and sensitively in a highly matrix organisation across geographies and cultures.
• Ability to define an approach that results in project stakeholders owning and sustaining change.
• Ability to flex and tailor standard approaches to fit the needs of the project and the local environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills that are pragmatic which demonstrates a strong understanding of the business.
• Determination and confidence to challenge the existing ways of working and shift current thinking to embrace working in a smarter more efficient and simpler ways.
