Your impact

As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst you are the frontline defense protecting Mollie and our customers from financial crime. Your core focus is investigating transactional data to detect assess and prevent criminal activitiessuch as money laundering terrorism financing and corruptionfrom passing through our platform.

Youll dig into complex alerts investigate unusual transactional behavior and make the critical decisions on when to report suspicious activity to the authorities. By identifying gaps in our controls and keeping Mollie safe from integrity risks you directly contribute to a more secure financial landscape ensuring our merchants can do business with total confidence.

What youll ship

• Investigate and resolve generated alerts for potential Money Laundering Terrorism Financing and Corruption.

• Analyze complex transactional data and deliver clear concise written reports on your findings escalating critical issues to the appropriate channels.

• Collaborate closely with CDD Risk and Compliance teams to evaluate customer risk ratings and make decisive recommendations on whether to start continue or exit business relationships.

• Identify blind spots in our current monitoring systems and actively improve our operational risk-control efforts.

• Research emerging financial crime trends and new modus operandi sharing actionable intelligence across the department.

• Review existing and proposed merchant trading activity to ensure it consistently aligns with the expected nature and purpose of their business.

What youll bring

• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience backed by an HBO or University-level academic background.

• In-depth practical knowledge of AML CTF ABC and Sanctions frameworks.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill and disseminate complex information to a wide range of stakeholders.

• Strong investigative instincts paired with a solid grasp of open-source intelligence (OSINT) research.

• A sharp eye for detail and the proven ability to take initiative prioritize your own workload and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
