About our team
The Amazon Brand Store team (such as within Sponsored Products and Brands is a core product offering in the Amazon Advertising portfolio. The brands store are their dedicated place on Amazon to differentiate grow sales and build loyalty with millions of shoppers. Our mission is to empower brands of all sizes to tell their story in their own unique voice to consumers. We help brands create engaging shopping experiences that assist shoppers in discovering and evaluating them as part of their purchase decisions. We succeed when we are both useful to shoppers and when brands can attract and retain shoppers attention using our products. However not all shopping journeys fit that mold - people shop to explore discover refine their tastes or just have fun. We want to address this gap by introducing a new way to shop on Amazon - one that services the less utilitarian aspects of shopping by encouraging shoppers to explore and discover new brands and products enabling brands to share their story and connect with shoppers while also building brand loyalty. As we create new complementary shopping experiences shoppers will be able to choose between buying and exploratory shopping and seamlessly transition between the two. We are looking for a seasoned frontend engineering leader to lead the team building these brand experiences. This is a multi-disciplinary role and the leader will partner with product design operations product marketing third-party integrators and sales teams in building new products and experiences. Given the strategic importance of this program for Advertising and Amazon overall this role will have high visibility at the S-Team level. Given the early stage of the product this provides opportunities to think big and requires a high bar on customer obsession bias for action dive deep insisting on the highest standards and earning trust.
Key job responsibilities
Our products and initiatives are highly strategic and visible across Amazons senior leadership. As a Senior Front-End Engineer you will architect develop and own scalable front-end systems while playing a key role in shaping the overall user experience across web and mobile platforms. You will partner closely with UX Designers Product Managers Scientists and generalist Software Development Engineers to deliver high-quality user-centered products. You will lead end-to-end across the full development lifecycle from planning and design through implementation testing and operations continuously driving process improvement along the way. You will take ownership of complex technical challenges creatively meeting product goals while raising the bar on engineering quality. Beyond your individual contributions you will establish best practices that guide engineering decisions across the team mentor and invest in the growth of fellow engineers fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- 4 years of non-internship professional front end web or mobile software development using JavaScript HTML and CSS experience
- 5 years of front-end developer creating prototypes or wire-frames for enterprise web applications or workflows experience
- Experience developing with MVC/MVM frameworks (e.g. AngularJS Vue)
- Knowledge of web services technologies such as SOAP HTTP WSDL XSD and REST
- Experience in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
