Medical Manager Hematology

1) Role description

The Medical Manager Hematology provides strategic and scientific leadership for Medical Affairs activities across the Hematology therapeutic area including Multiple Myeloma Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and Lymphomas.

The role is responsible for translating evolving clinical evidence into a coherent local medical strategy ensuring high-quality scientific exchange and delivering impactful patient-focused medical initiatives. The Medical Manager Hematology partners closely with cross-functional team to shape and execute medical plans strengthen external stakeholder engagement and uphold the highest standards of medical governance and compliance.

This position requires a seasoned Medical Affairs professional with strong scientific credibility excellent influencing skills and demonstrated ability to lead teams and programs in a matrix environment.

80% officed based 20% travel required

2) Key Responsibilities

A) Therapeutic Area Leadership Hematology (MM CLL Lymphoma)

  • Owns and drives the medical strategy for Hematology (MM CLL Lymphoma) in alignment with regional/global medical strategy and local business priorities.

  • Acts as a key medical strategic partner within Country Value Teams (CVTs) providing TA expertise and medical leadership for portfolio and lifecycle discussions.

  • Leads the development execution and tracking of the Hematology Medical Affairs Plan (MAF Plan) ensuring alignment with the Business Plan and account strategies.

  • Accountable for medical budget planning forecasting and management for the Hematology TA.

  • Oversees medical activity prioritization and performance ensuring high-quality execution and measurable impact.

  • Establishes and maintains a structured medical insight generation process translating insights into strategic actions and sharing them with regional/global stakeholders.

  • Builds and maintains strong external stakeholder relationships including a robust KOL network across MM CLL and Lymphomas via regular F2F and other channels

  • Defines and implements KOL engagement plans for Hematology in line with local needs and compliance requirements.

  • Drives cross-functional collaboration between Medical Commercial Market Access and other functions to ensure aligned and compliant customer engagement.

  • Develops and implements the Medical education strategy aligned with TA and brand strategy.

  • Plans and executes scientific exchange activities (e.g. regular F2F advisory boards medical education meetings symposia virtual engagements) ensuring balanced nonpromotional communication.

  • Creates reviews and localizes medical education materials for HCPs (and patients where applicable) in collaboration with Patient & External Engagement and external partners.

  • Provides high-level medical support to internal stakeholders including scientific training and interpretation of clinical data in line with compliance standards.

  • Supports realworld evidence (RWE) noninterventional studies (NIS) and registries from a medical/scientific perspective in collaboration with Clinical Operations.

  • Supports implementation of Risk Management Plan (RMP) Pre-approval access (PAA) and other activities relevant to TA in collaboration with Regulatory and Pharmacovigilance and Quality.

B) People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Leads coaches and develops the Hematology Medical team ensuring clear objectives accountability and continuous professional development.

  • Supports capability building performance management and succession planning within the team.

  • Monitors and improves quantitative and qualitative KPIs (e.g. field excellence engagement quality insight value medical activity effectiveness).

  • Promotes best practices effective ways of working and knowledge sharing within the affiliate and across regional networks.

  • Acts as a role model for company values ABCT culture (Accountability Belonging Courage Trust) and diversity & inclusion.

D) Medical Governance Compliance & Quality

  • Reviews and certifies medical and educational materials as required ensuring scientific accuracy objectivity and compliance with SOPs.

  • Reviews medical education grants charitable contributions and congress participation documentation according to internal governance.

  • Ensures appropriate documentation of medical activities in required systems.

  • Supports audit and inspection readiness and coowns TArelated actions during and after audits/inspections.

  • Acts as a role model for ethical conduct compliance and integritybased decision making preserving trust with HCPs and patients.

4) Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Medical Doctor (MD) PhD or advanced scientific degree in a relevant lifescience field strongly preffered

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs Field roles (e.g. MSL Medical Advisor MSL Manager).

  • Proven people leadership or strong matrix leadership experience including coaching and team development.

  • Solid experience in medical strategy medical education stakeholder engagement and data interpretation.

  • Background in hematology and/or oncology required; experience in MM CLL and/or Lymphoma highly preferred.

  • Experience with RWE/NIS advisory boards and crossfunctional CVT work is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong scientific expertise and understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage credibly with KOLs.

  • Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities.

  • High ethical standards compliance mindset and patientcentric approach.

  • High learning agility proactive attitude and openness to change.

Languages & Other

  • Fluent English (spoken and written)

  • Local language proficiency as required

  • Willingness to travel for external scientific interactions as needed
