DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
This position may be required to perform additional tasks responsibilities or duties as assigned:
- Direct and coordinate daily warehouse functions including receiving picking packing shipping and inventory control.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce costs including cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Analyze workflows and implement continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
- Prepare and manage budgets for warehouse operations forecasting requirements and scheduling expenditures to meet financial objectives.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams including procurement logistics and customer service to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare reports on warehouse operations identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts audits and reconciliation processes.
- Manage staffing scheduling and resource allocation to meet business needs
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in logistics supply chain management or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in warehouse operations management or a related field with a proven track record of success.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a good understanding of Inventory management system and shipping logistics systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills
