ASL Educational Interpreter - Clarksville High School
Clarksville School District is accepting applications for an ASL EducationalInterpreterto work with a high school student.
The following are essential duties for this position:
- Interpret oral communication into sign language in classes
- Facilitate communication among students classroom teachers and other personnel in the school district.
- Convey the content of the message clearly and accurately according to the receptive language level of the student.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
- Previous educationalinterpreting preferred
Minimum standards:
Must hold a valid interpreters license issued by the Arkansas Department of Health;
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; and
Hold at least a:
3.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA); or
Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) 3/3 (transliterating /interpreting).
Salary is based on the Classified Employees - Interpreter for the Deafsalary schedule posted on the district website.
