Job Title

Major energy infrastructure projects depend on more than engineering and construction expertisethey depend on the ability to support and sustain large workforces operating in remote environments.

At Worley the Camps Construction Manager plays a critical role in enabling safe and productive project execution by delivering the infrastructure that allows teams to live and work across some of the most remote regions of Alaska. This role works closely with construction leadership logistics teams and project stakeholders to plan construct operate relocate and ultimately remove a network of workforce camps that support a mega-pipeline construction program stretching across hundreds of miles.

Success in this role requires a leader who understands the realities of Arctic operations large-scale logistics and the complex coordination required to support thousands of workers in a 24-hour construction environment.

Purpose of the role

Play an integral role in delivering and managing the workforce infrastructure that supports a major pipeline construction project across Alaska.

You will be responsible for the planning construction operation relocation and removal of multiple remote workforce camps that enable safe and efficient construction across several hundred miles of pipeline corridor. This includes overseeing the full lifecycle of camp infrastructurefrom initial site planning and construction through sustainment operations staged relocation as the pipeline progresses and final demobilization and site restoration.

Your leadership ensures the camps function as reliable operational hubs for a large workforce operating in an Arctic environment while meeting project schedule cost safety and contractual requirements.

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading the development and lifecycle management of workforce camp infrastructure supporting one of the largest construction programs in North America.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan coordinate and oversee the construction of 15 workforce camps located along a multi-hundred-mile pipeline corridor in Alaska.
  • Lead the site planning layout development and construction sequencing for camps designed to support large workforces operating in remote and extreme environments.
  • Ensure camps are delivered on schedule within or below budget and in compliance with project specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Plan and oversee logistics and sustainment operations including transportation utilities materials supply and operational infrastructure required to support remote camp environments.
  • Manage the ongoing operations of camps during construction phases ensuring facilities remain safe reliable and capable of supporting continuous workforce needs.
  • Coordinate and lead the strategic relocation of camps as pipeline construction progresses along the corridor.
  • Oversee camp demobilization removal and site restoration activities at the conclusion of construction phases.
  • Ensure camp infrastructure supports 24-hour construction operations in Arctic and cold-weather conditions.
  • Manage contractors construction teams and service providers involved in camp construction and operations.
  • Monitor construction progress identify risks and develop mitigation plans to maintain schedule and cost performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health safety environmental and regulatory requirements particularly those governing remote Arctic construction and temporary infrastructure.
  • Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary teams including logistics construction and camp operations personnel.
  • Develop and present project updates strategic recommendations and risk assessments to senior leadership.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of systems processes and tools supporting remote infrastructure delivery and workforce sustainment.

What youll bring to the role

What youll bring to the role is deep construction expertise combined with the operational mindset required to support large workforces in remote environments.

Key qualifications include:

  • Extensive experience on mega-projects particularly large pipeline or energy infrastructure developments.
  • Proven experience planning and constructing workforce camps that support large construction programs.
  • Demonstrated capability managing the full lifecycle of remote camps including construction operation relocation and demobilization.
  • Strong background in logistics and sustainment planning for large remote workforces.
  • Significant experience operating in Arctic sub-Arctic or extreme cold-weather environments.
  • Experience supporting 24-hour construction operations in remote locations.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant construction infrastructure or project management experience including leadership roles.
  • University degree in Construction Management Engineering Project Management or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction planning project controls cost management and contractor oversight.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex challenges and implement practical solutions aligned with project goals.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and contractors across remote project locations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team engagement safety and operational reliability.
