Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible and respond to security-related concerns with calm professionalism. You will complete detailed reports communicate clearly with staff and visitors and help to deter incidents through your presence and awareness. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and contractors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response protocols when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds parking areas and perimeter points noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
- Monitor access control points and verify identification credentials and/or permits as required by post orders documenting entries and exits.
- Respond to incidents alarms and calls for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating with site leadership and local public agencies as needed.
- Complete detailed reports logs and evidence documentation for security-related incidents patrol observations and policy violations and communicate status updates to supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card/license is required.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma/GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
- State County or City Issued Security License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
