Join as a Highways Engineer in our Transportation team. Our projects are bringing digitalisation to highways and transforming the way people live and work. And youll be part of these collaborative design teams based across the country and the world. Its an exciting era for UK highways with the rise of intelligent networks autonomous technology and mobility as a service. To lead in emerging areas that interest you all you need to do is speak up and take the initiative.

Your role

• Be part of the team responsible for the technical delivery of highway infrastructure projects.
• Using highways design drainage and other software packages to deliver technically robust designs.
• Mentoring and coaching team members and taking responsibility for their technical development.
• Assisting Project Managers on technical aspects of designs from project initiation through to completion.
• Delegating work to team members programming deliverables and monitoring progress.
• Support the business in work winning activities including representing the business at networking events and preparing tenders.

• Excellent interpersonal organisational and communication skills.
• A resourceful articulate and clear communicator with the ability to influence others.
• A hard working and flexible individual who is a team player is reliable proactive and shows initiative.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently as well as within a larger multi-discipline team.
• A high expectation of performance for themselves and other members of the team.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• A supportive and encouraging approach to mentoring less experienced members of the team.

Security clearance
