Job Summary

Key Deliverables:

  • Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues
  • Monitor all operations that affect quality
  • Supervise and guide inspectors technicians and other staff
  • Assure the reliability and consistency of production bychecking processes and final output
  • Appraise customers requirements and make sure they are satisfied
  • Report all malfunctions toproduction executives to ensure immediate action
  • Facilitateproactive solutionsby collecting and analyzingquality data
  • Review current standards and policies
  • Keep records of quality reports statistical reviews and relevant documentation
  • Ensure all legal standards are met diagnose.
  • Carry out additional testing on non-routine sample
  • Carry out any other duties as and when required by the QA Engineer.
  • Ensure that operational data are regularly and accurately recorded so that reliable information about performance and materials stocks are available at required times.
  • Ensure to have a proper back up/ recording of process data specifically for a trial product so that repeatability can be obtain during next production.
  • Follow safety quality system procedure practices and maintain the housekeeping of workplace as per OAPIL IMS and OAPIL HSE Standard.
  • Carrying Any assignments by direct report
  • Monitor and manage the laboratories under the Quality Control department.
  • Ensure the raw materials are in line with OAPIL specifications.
  • Responsible to generate NCR in case of non-conformance and send to Vendor.
  • Assist and coordinate in all third-party inspections of the finished goods in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Assist in the study of and provide production standards for manufacturing and testing equipment in the company.
  • Ensure all lab equipment is functioning properly and are duly serviced and calibrated according to relevant standards. Coordinate and schedule with Vendors for calibration and certification.
  • Ensure proper training and weekly toolbox meetings are arranged for QC supervisors and inspectors.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment failures and inconsistent analytical results in coordination with QC engineers and QC technicians.

Qualifications:

  • BSE graduate degree in Electrical/ Mechanical engineering. (Diploma holders may also be considered).
  • Certification in Total Quality Management courses is an added advantage.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of Aluminium processing operation and technology.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Technical background including math electrical knowledge familiarity with industry standards. Experience in the HTLS conductor manufacturing and quality process as well as aluminum rod processing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of personal computers in windows environment including Microsoft Office Package.
  • Good English communication skill both in written and spoken.
  • Use of basic metrology equipment and electrical test equipment.
  • Knowledge of different methods testing international standards Data management and reporting Statistical techniques Computer literacy especially MS-Office.
  • Good interpersonal communication and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of the properties of the materials especially metals polymers etc.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Ability to build strong good relationships with internal peers and production team.
  • Good problem-solving skills and quick decision making.

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in similar manufacturing facility in the QC department.
  • 5 years of Process/ production or manufacturing industry experience.
