Job Title: Telecom Engineer

Location: Oman

Experience Required: Minimum 5 Years

Role Overview:

A Telecom Engineer is responsible for designing implementing maintaining and troubleshooting telecommunication systems and networks. The role involves ensuring reliable communication infrastructure supporting project execution and maintaining compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement telecom systems including fiber optics wireless networks and communication equipment
  
• Install configure and maintain telecom infrastructure such as routers switches transmission systems and base stations
  
• Perform testing commissioning and troubleshooting of telecom systems
  
• Monitor network performance and ensure minimal downtime
  
• Coordinate with project teams vendors and clients for telecom-related activities
  
• Prepare technical documentation reports and system layouts
  
• Ensure compliance with telecom standards safety regulations and project specifications
  
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for telecom installations
  
• Handle preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  
• Support integration of telecom systems with other engineering systems (SCADA security etc.)
  
• Identify and resolve network faults signal issues and connectivity problems
  
• Assist in upgrading and optimizing existing telecom infrastructure
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Electronics Telecommunications Electrical Engineering or related field
  
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in telecom engineering projects
  
• Experience in Oil & Gas Infrastructure or Industrial Projects preferred
  

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of telecom systems (fiber optics RF microwave LAN/WAN)
  
• Familiarity with telecom protocols and standards
  
• Experience in installation testing and commissioning of telecom equipment
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and network diagrams
  
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  
• Knowledge of network security and data communication
  
• Good communication and coordination skills
  
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic networking tools
