Job Summary

St. Mary of Sorrows Preschool a stand alone Catholic parish preschool serving 2 ½ to 5 year old students approximately 50 children in the program seeks a vibrant Christ-centered devoted leader to serve as Preschool Director will oversee the daily operations of the Preschool program and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program at St. Mary of Sorrows Catholic Church including staff management curriculum development budgeting and financial planning and ensuring compliance with diocesan county and state regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall academic social and emotional development of the children in the programs. The Preschool Director also acts as a role model for staff and ensures a safe and secure learning environment for the children. We are a Religiously Exempt Catholic Stand Alone Preschool within the Diocese of Arlington that fosters play based curriculum and offers Catechesis of the Good Shepherd faith based learning.

Candidates must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Candidates must hold a masters degree in school administration by an accredited university or a masters degree in another academic related field with a minimum of five years teaching experience in the Catholic schools. or hold a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and be willing to complete a Masters degree in school administration within 3 years.
