Location: Manhattan Brooklyn and Queens (Long Island City)
Salary Range: $22/hour
Reports to: Head of School
Schedule: 9am-6pm various hours Monday-Friday (part-time and full-time schedules available)

About the Role
We are seeking a Floating Teacher to join our mission of providing New York Citys 0-6-year-olds with a foundation for lifelong this role you are the ultimate multi-hyphenate. One hour you might be spotting a budding gymnast on the bars the next youre stepping in or supporting a lead teacher in one of our Tools of the Mind private preschool classrooms. You are the glue that holds our community together and the spark that makes our enrichment programs legendary and preschool classes an incredible foundation for lifelong learning!
What Youll Do
- The Classroom Chameleon: Lead and Assist a variety of classes for children ages 0 to 6 years. Youll use a variety of curricula to teach everything from preschool to art and stem classes!
- The Developmental Partner: Help children build confidence coordination and social skills through activities and structured play ensuring a safe to fail environment where children feel secure enough to take risks and explore their world.
- The Problem Solver: Support with transitions classroom organization and daily operations. You are the teammate who sees a need and jumps in with a smile.
- The Family Partner: Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates sharing the successes and challenges of their childs day and building a bridge between school and home.

Requirements
What Were Looking For
- Education: A High School Diploma is required but an Associates or Bachelors Degree is preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of lead teaching experience in pre-k camp after school and other enrichment experiences for ages 0-6.
- Special Edge: Be a passionate teacher and lifelong learner!
Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

- Anticipating classroom requirements and preparing resources well in advance of instruction.
- Executing smooth efficient hand-offs between classes and activities to maximize learning time.

- Maintaining 100% compliance with all study plans and certification requirements.
