JOB SUMMARY

Primary task is to assist and support the Import Compliance Team with general international logistics processes and import / customs trade compliance requirements. The perspective candidate for this role must know how to read and understand shipping documents calculate duties and have excellent analytic and problem solving skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with site operations business units and other functional areas to address and ensure all import activities are effectively processed.
Ensure all inbound shipments are in compliance with all applicable import rules and regulations.
Proactively identify areas of compliance risk.
Maintain general record keeping requirements in compliance with Jabil corporate and applicable Customs import regulations.

Knowledge of international logistics process.

Knowledge of trade compliance / import regulations.

Knowledge and ability to calculate duties.

Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products (Excel Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
Solid communication skills in English.
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to write and follow complex correspondence.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions.
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions correspondence and memos.
