Full Time Armed Security Officer Denver CO
Wage:$23.50/HR - (Increase After 1 Year)
Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. TheArmed Security Officerposition helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel visitors and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to aclients employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.
Our highly sought after Armed Security officer positions include full training. If you have experience in security law enforcement or military you are a great fit for this role.
Job Duties:
- Patrol assigned site on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions hazards unlocked doors security violations blocked entrances and exits mechanical problems and unauthorized persons.
- Work directly with law enforcement government staffing and the community.
Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries suspicious activity emergency situations and any other observed issues.
Security screen all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities.
Monitor surveillance cameras.

Basic Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma GED OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
- Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet computer or smartphone.
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
- Must have great attention to detail and have the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Companys pre-employment screening process including drug screen and background investigation.
- 2 years of armed experience.
- Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Must have the ability to speak read and write English.
- Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular).
- Must be reliable accountable punctual and have a strong work ethic.
- Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
- Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
- Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
- With or without reasonable accommodation the physical and mental requirements of this job may include the following: seeing hearing speaking and writing clearly. Occasional reaching with hands and arms stooping kneeling crouching and crawling. Frequent sitting standing and walking which may be required for long periods of time and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
- Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
