Job Summary
Job Description:
Permian Resources (NYSE: PR)is seeking an AI Specialist to help design develop and deploy applied artificial intelligence solutions that improve operational efficiency decisionmaking and scalability across the organization. This role will focus on practical AI and machinelearning applications including Large Language Models (LLMs) agentic workflows automation and datadriven insights rather than purely theoretical research.
The AI Specialist willreport within the Strategic Planningorganization but willwork closely with IT engineering operations data and business stakeholders toidentifyhigh-value use cases and translate them into secure maintainable and measurable AI solutions. This position is ideal for a hands-on technologist who understands both modern AI capabilities and enterprise constraints (security data governance&reliability).
Key Responsibilities
Design build andmaintainAIdriven solutions including LLMbased applications automation tools and agentic workflows
Develop andoptimizeprompt engineering strategies and multistep AI agents to support business processes and decision support
Partner with business and technical teams toidentify prioritize and prototype AI use cases with clear ROI
Integrate AI solutions with existing systems data sources and workflows using APIs scripting and automation tools
Apply machine learning natural language processing (NLP) and data analysis techniques toreal-worldoperational and business problems
Support responsible AI practices including data quality model evaluation security and governance considerations
Document AI solutions workflows and best practices to ensure scalability and knowledge transfer
Stay current with emerging AI technologies tools and frameworks and assess their applicability to Permian Resources environment
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field
Hands-on experience building or supporting AI/ML solutions in a professional academic or applied setting
Working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and practical prompt engineering techniques
Experience working with structured and unstructured data including SQL and relational databases
Solid understanding of software development fundamentals APIs and version control
Strong analytical problemsolving and communication skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with agentic AI frameworks workflow orchestration orAI poweredautomation
Exposure to cloud platforms containerization or scalable application deployment
Familiarity with data pipelines reporting or business intelligence tools
Experience applying AI to operations engineering or industrial environments
Understanding of cybersecurity data governance or compliance considerations related to AI systems
Strong experience with Python for data analysis automation or application development
Prior experience in energyfinancialindustrialor assetintensiveindustries
