Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Duty in Houston TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and/or petrochemical location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and support daily operations with strong customer service and clear communication. You will document observations respond to concerns and collaborate with site teams using Allied Universal values of agility reliability innovation teamwork a caring people-first culture and integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures location-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings production-adjacent areas and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for entry directing visitors and contractors according to site requirements.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
- Complete accurate security-related reports and logs including patrol observations incident documentation and communications with site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
