Core Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery: Teaching English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) delivering lessons that are well-paced engaging and academically rigorous.
Linguistic Development: Helping students build a sophisticated vocabulary and a firm grasp of rhetorical devices ensuring they can write with clarity and purpose for diverse audiences.
Textual Analysis: Guiding students through the deconstruction of a wide range of textsfrom Shakespearean drama to modern poetry and digital non-fictionfostering deep critical insights.
Diagnostic Feedback: Utilizing regular assessment to identify gaps in reading comprehension and writing mechanics providing feedback that empowers students to refine their craft.
Cultural Enrichment: Coordinating extracurricular activities such as creative writing workshops theatre visits or slam poetry competitions to foster a lifelong love for the arts.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English Literature Language or a closely related field.
