JobGoal(s): Freshman football coach goals focus on building foundational skills character and player retention to prepare athletes for varsity. Key goals include teaching fundamental techniques establishing discipline ensuring safety fostering academic accountability and promoting a positive team culture that encourages long-term participation.

Qualifications

Has the ability to organize and supervise a sports program.

Has previous coaching experience and strong knowledge of football fundamentals.

The coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sportand at the same time must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the sport.

The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes throughthe coachesinstructions and actions.

Certifications

Valid CHRC

Performance Responsibilities

Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by theMt. Blue DistrictSchools Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation.

Has knowledge of existing system state and league regulations.

Coordinate with the Varsity Head Coach to align with the overall program structure and communicate with parents.

Education

The coach must be at least 20 years of age or a high school graduate.

Experience

Comprehensive knowledge of the game as well asknowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.

Working Schedule

Flexible after school hours required for scheduledgames both home and away.

Travel Requirements

Travelto home and away games.

Reports To:Director of Athletics /Head Coach

Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.

Evaluation:Completed annually byDirector of Athletics

FLSA Status:Exempt/Non-exempt
