The Technology Manager works closely with the Head of Technology and leads part of the AI technology function. This role is responsible for ensuring that delivery performance and quality standards are met from both a people and product perspective in a sustainable manner. The role will oversee the delivery and operational excellence of two or more cross-functional AI teams.
As a Technology Manager you will:
- Lead two or more cross-functional engineering teams (approximately 735 people) consisting of Data Scientists Machine Learning Engineers Data Engineers and Principal AI Engineers.
- Partner with Product Platform and Research teams to ensure high standards of AI product delivery scalability performance and quality.
- Ensure alignment between AI initiatives and business objectives translating strategy into execution.
- Maintain strong collaboration across verticals and technology lines to enable AI-driven innovation across the organization.
- Prioritize and enable teams to deliver high-quality AI products in a timely manner removing impediments and managing dependencies.
- Provide operational direction for AI systems infrastructure and ML lifecycle processes (development deployment monitoring).
- Maintain the AI technology roadmap balancing innovation with scalability and management of technical debt.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning experimentation and employee growth while ensuring high retention and engagement.
- Take ownership of team staffing by identifying capability gaps prioritizing hiring needs and actively participating in recruitment.
- Provide strong leadership mentorship and performance management within autonomous self-driven teams.
What youll bring:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 57 years of experience in a similar leadership position managing software engineering and/or AI/ML teams.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML product development lifecycle and data-driven systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional autonomous teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to balance innovation and delivery.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including facilitation negotiation and stakeholder management.
- Experience in international environments and remote team collaboration is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication planning and organizational skills.
