Summary of Job:
The Training Coordinator Customer Education supports global customer education initiatives by coordinating training programs events and marketing efforts that promote product awareness and customer engagement. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams including marketing engineering and sales to plan and execute both in-person and virtual training events. The position ensures training programs align with business strategy while maintaining customer education records managing event logistics and supporting customer relationships across multiple markets.
Must-have/Required skills:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications or related field
- 2 years of experience in marketing communications event planning or related roles
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to gather and analyze data to support program improvements
- Ability to coordinate multiple training events and projects simultaneously
- Basic knowledge of fiber optic networks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in training coordination or instructional delivery
- Experience with event planning software such as Cvent
- Experience using CRM or marketing platforms such as Salesforce and Marketo
- Familiarity with webinar platforms such as AdobeConnect or WebEx Event Center
- Experience with social media marketing platforms such as LinkedIn
- Knowledge of customer education programs or technical training environments
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support the growth and maintenance of the customer training program aligned with global marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with Channel Marketing Regional Marketing Sales Engineers Product Line Managers and Engineering Services to identify customer education opportunities
- Develop and project manage training events (live and virtual) to support sales strategies in In-Building Networks Data Centers and Carrier markets
- Work with subject matter experts including Systems Engineering Field Engineering and Application Engineers to develop training content and curriculum
- Coordinate with engineering teams to build and maintain product samples and equipment used in training sessions
- Work with distribution branch managers and sales teams to coordinate logistics for live training events
- Create and manage promotional campaigns using social media marketing automation platforms and traditional marketing channels
- Maintain customer education certifications and program records and generate reports on program results
- Use event management software (Cvent) to manage event registration promotion and reporting
- Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers as needed
- Manage activities within an approved customer education budget
- Provide basic customer support to program members and training participants
- Maintain and improve training program databases documentation and operational processes
- Represent the organization professionally while delivering high-quality customer education experiences
