Job Summary

Job Title Head (Engineering Maintenance and Utilities) The Head-Engineering will lead the Engineering function at the Manufacturing and R&D site covering Plant Maintenance Utilities Operations & Maintenance and Engineering Projects. The role is accountable for ensuring high equipment reliability regulatory compliance safe operations cost control and timely execution of capital projects while supporting production and R&D objectives. Location: Khopoli Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer Role Purpose To lead the Engineering function covering Plant Maintenance Utilities Operations & Maintenance and Engineering Projects at the Manufacturing and R&D site ensuring high equipment reliability regulatory compliance cost control and safe operations while supporting production and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Maintenance Ensure high uptime and reliability of manufacturing and R&D equipment. Drive effective implementation of Planned Preventive & Corrective Maintenance systems. Oversee facility upkeep and statutory equipment inspections. Maintain engineering documentation and audit readiness. Monitor spare parts and engineering inventory. Lead QMS compliance within the engineering function. Sound knowledge of reactors boilers pumps compressors etc. Utilities Management Oversee O&M of utilities (power steam HVAC compressed air water systems etc.) Ensure uninterrupted utility supply to production and R&D. Monitor and control engineering maintenance and utility budgets. Drive energy efficiency and cost optimization initiatives. Projects & CapEx Plan and execute engineering and infrastructure projects within timeline and budget. Manage consultants contractors and vendors. Support capacity expansion technology transfer and compliance upgrades. Prepare engineering documentation for statutory and customer audits. Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to statutory regulatory ISO and safety standards. Strengthen shop-floor safety practices in collaboration with EHS. Identify and mitigate engineering-related risks. Team Leadership Lead and develop engineers technicians trainees and contract workforce. Provide training on safety quality and technical competencies. Effectively engage with senior management and unions. Key Success Indicators High plant uptime and equipment reliability. On-time and within-budget project execution. Controlled maintenance & utility costs. Strong audit outcomes and statutory compliance. Zero major safety incidents. Candidate Profile B.E./ (Mechanical) with at least 15 years of experience in Maintenance & Engineering Projects. Experience in Chemical / Pharma / Process Manufacturing industry. Strong exposure to utilities CapEx management and statutory compliance. Proven leadership capability in managing cross-functional engineering teams. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
