Location: Phoenix AZ (Hybrid Primarily Remote)

Duration: 5 Month Contract
Hours: 40 hrs/week

The Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) is seeking an experienced Drupal Developer to support the redevelopment of the agencys public facing website. This is a temporary full time staff augmentation role focused on rebuilding the existing Drupal site upgrading the CMS to a modern version and performing a full content migration.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Drupal (7/8/9/10) strong full stack development skills and familiarity with accessibility and web development best practices.

• Rebuild and modernize the AZDOHS website using an updated version of Drupal.
• Migrate all existing content from an outdated Drupal version to the new platform.
• Develop test and deploy custom modules themes and components as needed.
• Ensure the website meets WCAG Level AA accessibility standards.
• Optimize website performance structure and user experience.
• Implement security best practices for a government website.
• Collaborate with agency staff to gather requirements provide updates and conduct content reviews.
• Provide documentation and handoff materials for long term website maintenance.

• 4 years of professional experience in Drupal development (Drupal 7 8 9 10).
• Strong full stack development experience.
• Proficiency in:
  • HTML CSS JavaScript PHP
  • Custom Drupal module and theme development
• Experience with database management and web hosting environments.
• Knowledge of WCAG Level AA accessibility requirements.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or a related field
  OR
  5 7 years of equivalent professional experience.

• Local candidates only must currently reside in Arizona (location must be listed on the r sum ).
• Must be able to attend in person meetings or trainings in Phoenix as required.
• Must be available for an in person interview within 1 week of posting close.
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer.
• U.S. citizens only no Green Card visa or sponsorship candidates.
• Tentative start date depends on interview onboarding and PO issuance.
