What youll be doing

Controls Testing Governance Risk and Control oversees and manages Technology Management Controls testing Compliance Programs testing and the ExternalAudit over Financial Reporting and SOX Compliance on behalf of our Technology the right risk mitigation over key controls andcompliance related activities within our Bank to reduce CIBCs exposure to fraud and technology and security related risks. Weprovide support to the technology businesses that the control environment is designed and operating Sr. Manager is accountable to support the team in achieving an effective control structure to mitigate risk. We have a major role is supporting the external audit conducted annually for CIBC financial and SOX reports. This work supports the technology arm of the engagement and results are reported to the manager will be accountable to maintain a comprehensive review and quality assurance over the information provided to support these reviews. The role will help to in leading and executing all governance related activities in support of testing key controls and compliance attributes in support of CIBC Technology Management Controls environment.

How Youll Succeed

  • Governance: Employee effective monitoring and oversight through the three lines of defense model including monitoring and oversight of business unit managements adherence to the overarching Controls Methodologies Support our ability to operate according to the principles of continuous improvement and influence continued development in Controls and Compliance Programs.

  • Strong Leadership: Setting appropriate context when assigning work to ensure that individuals roles support the achievement of the business units priorities and CIBCs overall goals; Building team and individual capabilities by providing development opportunities. Provide for the on-going professional development of staff. Provide motivation coaching training and development opportunities to ensure that direct reports are performing or developing the necessary professional skills

  • Strategic Development & Execution: Direct the activities of the Governance Consultants by providing strategic guidance and support in the cost-effective achievement of overall Program objectives focusing on end-to-end processes and solutions. Develop internal relationships including senior executives business unit managers business unit and divisional executives and managers across CIBC.

Who You Are

  • You demonstrate experience inPeople leadership within Fraud Controls and Governance identifying gaps assessing Controls and making recommendations for improvements with a working knowledge of requirements of CIBCs Control Framework. You must have an experience within Audit or testing of key Fraud Controls processes are able to support and communicate the Control Framework requirements and supporting the development of new/changes to controls and Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities. You have an ability to interface with multiple business units and corporate governance groups on complex issues and demonstrate the ability to influence senior stakeholders in situations that require cooperation and consensus. You must have solid technical expertise with Excel along with stellar written and oral communication skills.

  • Youre a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing CISA CRISC CISSP.
