Job Summary

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is accepting teaching applications for the 2026 Migrant EducationSummer School Program. Migrant EducationSummer Schoolis for FallbrookTK-8 students who are currently identified as Migrant and are participating in theRegion 9 Migrant Program in the Fallbrook Union Elementary School District. The recruitment is open to current FUESD contracted and substitute teachers. Staff will be selected based on migrant RSY experience program needs and the daily availability to work the duration of will be based on enrollment. Staff may be reduced or increased based on student attendance.

DETAILS FOR THIS POSITION:

OPEN TO INTERNAL CURRENT FUESD CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEES/SUBSTITUTES ONLY

  • APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 20 2026 - 4:00 p.m.
  • LENGTHOF WORK PERIOD: 18 Instructional days and 1 Mandatory Staff Meeting/Prep Day on Monday June 1 2026. 18 Instructional Days: Monday-Friday beginning Tuesday June 2 2026 - June 26 2026 (excluding June 19 2026). Possible extra hours for PD in Week 1 - up to8 hours for professional development.
  • WORK SITE: Fallbrook STEM Academy/Migrant
  • WORK SCHEDULE: 5.0 hours per day Monday-Friday 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
  • SALARY: 18 Instructional Days at $62/contract hourly/$310 daily rate (based on 5 hours/day)/1 Staff Meeting/Prep Day paid at contract hourly rate $62/hour
  • REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING:Current/valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or other valid credential; Authorization to teach English Language Learners; Experience teaching ELD standards-based instruction using direct instruction methods; Experience teaching ELA to struggling readers using direct instruction methods
  • Staff will be selected based on program needs. Previous experience in 25-26 SY preferred and prioritized. Priority will be given to teachers whowill work all days of the summer program. Enrollment will determine teacher need in the first week of the program.
  • EXPECTATIONS:To provide a schedule that incorporates the design elements of course descriptions for the assigned class; to be in attendance and on time for the duration of the program; to provide small group large group and one-on-one instruction; to maintain an environment conducive to learning with clear rules expectations and consequences for inappropriate behavior; to perform all duties of teaching and duty assignments as requested; to perform appropriate documentation on student progress including pre/post assessments as well as fill out progress reports with appropriate documentation.
