About the Role
The Business System Analyst (BA) is an embedded business and systems analysis role within Newfire Global Partners supporting Care Lumens engineering organization. This individual bridges the gap between business requirements and technical delivery ensuring that development teams have clear well-defined specifications to build against.
Working within Agile delivery squads the Business System Analyst analyzes processes gathers and documents requirements maps workflows and serves as a critical liaison between product engineering and QA teams. The role combines classic business analysis skills with systems thinking and a strong understanding of software development processes.
You are detail-oriented communicates clearly and brings experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced technology environment.
What Youll Do
- Gather analyze and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders and product owners.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories acceptance criteria and system specifications.
- Create and maintain process flow diagrams use cases data flow diagrams and other analysis artifacts.
- Facilitate requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews to elicit needs and validate understanding.
- Collaborate with engineers QA and designers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and testable.
- Support backlog grooming and sprint planning by ensuring stories are refined estimated and ready for development.
- Perform gap analysis between current and desired system states and recommend solutions.
- Assist in UAT planning and execution coordinating business stakeholders through the testing process.
- Work with development team through the release step process and assist with Chnage Management process
- Track and manage requirements traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Identify risks dependencies and ambiguities early and escalate to appropriate stakeholders.
- Assist with bug and incident investigation and triaging
- Project Management: work with team members to adhere to project milestones
Whats Required
- 4 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis in a technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear user stories acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
- Proficiency in process mapping and workflow documentation techniques.
- Experience facilitating requirements workshops and stakeholder interviews.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and sprint-based delivery models.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with tools such as Jira Confluence Lucidchart or Visio.
- Experience with SDLC
- Experience with data analysis and SQL.
Whats Preferred
- Experience in healthcare IT or clinical platform environments.
- CBAP CCBA or equivalent business analysis certification.
- Familiarity with UX design principles and design thinking.
- Background working with diverse team across multiple timezones or distributed delivery teams.
