What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific access control and security-related screening procedures at a government location.
• Screen individuals and belongings at entry points using approved methods and screening equipment verifying identification and directing authorized visitors to the proper destination.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Maintain screening post readiness by monitoring queues controlling entry flow documenting required logs and communicating screening instructions in a professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter when required watching for unusual activity and reporting observations per site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 years combined law enforcement military and/or security experience OR a college degree in criminal justice.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Must have a guard card
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
