Job Summary

INTERVENTIONIST

Staunton City Schools is seeking a part-time INTERVENTIONISTtowork at the McSwain Elementary School effective immediately through May 1 2026. The interventionist will work with students one-on-one or in small groups to build skills in academic content areas specifically in reading and math. Prioritized grade levels will be third fourth and fifth grade. Preferred working hours would be Monday-Friday from 9:00-1:00; however the schedule may have some flexibility and can be negotiated with McSwain administration. Necessary skills include the abilityto plan (or follow pre-written lesson plans) and deliver interventions maintain a positive learning environment for students track student progress and communicate collaboratively and regularly with McSwain teachers and administration.

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Hours/Week: Approximately 20 hours/week

Hiring Range: $40.00/hour

Start Date: Immediately

Reports To: Prinicipal-T.C. McSwain Elementary School
