Position Title:Director of Operations (SEA)

Your role

This is a day-to-day operations leadership role in which you will ensure Digital Realtys operations activities are aligned with the companys financial and operational objectives while supporting and building the Indonesia JV Company & Operations teams. Youll leverage your leadership qualities to positively influence colleagues to embrace the companys operating objectives.

What youll do

• Support the direction of diverse operations teams to support 24/7 operations of data centers within the Indonesia. Operations are inclusive of critical infrastructure management property management customer implementation services customer success security operations and compliance and customer relationships.
• Responsible and accountable for implementing & monitoring Digital Realtys Global Operating Model (GOM) across the JV Operations including but not limited to operational metrics financial performance uptime & SLA achievement standards compliance customer installations vendor selection maintenance oversight security & controls oversight vendor and customer contract reviews and alignment with the GOM.
• Work closely with sub-regional counterparts within the business including but not limited to regional Operations Directors Procurement Sustainability Security asset management design engineering and construction sales & sales engineering and customer success to provide a consistent delivery of service.
• Partner with the JV Operations Leadership and the broader JV Company teams to ensure the JVs operational success. Using your Digital Realty network to support this partnership by advocating for the JV inside Digital Realty and vice versa.
  • Driving product consistency and standard operating procedures aligned with the GOM
  • Escalating points of difference to APAC operational leadership for resolution & differentiation decisions
• Actively monitor data center market conditions operations and drivers within Indonesia and work with the JV team to participate in industry events to help grow the JVs profile & reach
• Prioritize use of resources for decision making related to:
  • Operational risk mitigation and remediation
  • Meeting customer commitments on target on time and on budget and to SLAs.
  • Develop opportunities to deliver value to current customers in areas of their organizations not already served.
• Possess a strong sense of awareness of the competitive landscape and customer requirements to give the JV company & Digital Realty the best possible opportunity of being the provider of choice.
• Collaborate with the JV & Digital Realty teams across asset management and sales to grow the business including supporting and participating in origination activity sales and investor tours and customer business reviews.
• Maintain a strong external network and insight into the latest developments in the data center industry including innovative technologies and best practice solutions.
• Travel to support operations as necessary (approximately 25%).

What youll need

• A bachelors degree in business or engineering from an accredited university;MBA other advance degree and/or certifications are preferred
• Sufficient experience managing a team and working within the data center industry.
• Experience in the fundamental operations of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure.
• Strong financial acumen capabilities including a demonstrated history in analytics and financial and operating performance management and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail strong organizational skills and a willingness to accept new ideas and procedures.
• A comprehensive understanding of critical environment management and the challenges of multi-tenant data center occupancy.
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
• Native Bahasa Indonesian and very strong English both verbal and written
• Strong diplomacy and empathy skills while retaining a point of view aligned to Digital Realtys GOM and product standardization goals.
