As a Security Officer - Badge Verification Patrol in Washington DC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal you will monitor and patrol retail and commercial real estate locations conducting routine rounds and maintaining a visible presence that can help to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control respond to concerns and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants shoppers guests and/or staff by carrying out post orders security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail corridors common areas parking areas loading docks and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns for reporting.
• Monitor access points and respond to alarms calls for service and suspicious activity in a calm problem-solving manner escalating to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed incident reports patrol logs and activity documentation and communicate updates to supervisors property management and/or client contacts per site protocols.
• Support security-related operations during opening and closing procedures special events and high-traffic periods including providing directions assisting with lost and found inquiries and supporting crowd management as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21 years of age.
• Lifting more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
