We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Frontend Engineer Intern to join our Team

You will be part of our IT Engineering community. You will learn about the ING Way of Working and our technology platforms which enables our ING business to build application that reach millions of customers.

As an intern you will be allocated to one of our projects and be given the opportunity to contribute to our code base and make impact to our customers.

During your internship you will learn new technologies new engineering methodologies and you will be invited to share your learnings and experiences with other passionate engineers.

You will be invited to join all the rituals and ceremonies of our squads and be treated equally. As such we look forward to your contributions.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Frontend Engineer Intern you will:

• Assist in implementing new components and features following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in understanding and refining user stories to contribute to their development.
• Support the team in the use and understanding of different environments (development integration production).
• Learn about the release process and support the deployment of new functionalities.
• Help monitor applications and identify potential issues or areas for improvement.

• Basic proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and interest in modern frontend frameworks (React Angular or Vue).
• Understanding of responsive design web standards and basic UI/UX principles.
• Interest in writing clean maintainable code and learning unit/component testing.
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools (e.g. Git Azure DevOps).
• Willingness to work in a collaborative Scrum environment and actively learn from teammates.
• Curiosity about frontend fundamentals such as components state management accessibility and web performance.
