In this role you will bring both strategic insight and practical executionsupporting organizations through challenging employee relations matters providing guidance on people and culture strategies and contributing to executive recruitment mandates when required.
You are someone who is known for making things happen. You are comfortable stepping into complex environments quickly building trust and helping leaders move forward with clarity and addition to delivering exceptional client service you will also play a role in strengthening Potentias presence in the community by building relationships leveraging your professional network and identifying opportunities to support new clients.
Your strong grasp of employment standards significant experience advising senior leaders exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities will be critical to your success. Professionalism discretion and strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential in this role.
We anticipate starting this role at approximately 15 hours per week with the potential to grow over time as our firm continues to expand. This opportunity may be particularly appealing to a seasoned HR leader who is seeking meaningful work while maintaining flexibility and balancewhether that means transitioning toward retirement pursuing other passions or designing a more balanced professional life.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic HR advisory services to clients particularly in complex or challenging situations
- Developing overarching People and Culture strategies for our clients including total compensation strategy supporting research and talent acquisition strategies
- Developing cultural practices that support the vision and values of our clients
- Designing and supporting programs in areas such as performance management employee engagement organizational development HR compliance policy and procedure development goal setting ongoing feedback and reward and recognition
- Advising and guiding leaders through complex employee relations matters
- Evaluating key HR metrics and budgets to gain insight into important areas of our clients businesses
- Ensuring compliance with legislative labour and workplace safety requirements when making recommendations
- Supporting recruitment initiatives including executive-level searches when required
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key business partners clients and community members
Requirements
- Progressive work experience in Human Resources;
- Ability to create and execute comprehensive Human Resources programs;
- Demonstrated ability to meet strategic HR objectives;
- Proven management of HR core processes;
- Computer literacy including effective working skills of MS suite;
- Ability to create positive momentum for change;
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build relationships easily;
- Collaborative nature resulting in building excellence in teams;
- Multitasking; adaptability and ability to manage overlapping projects;
- Creative thinking;
