Job Summary

Special Education - Elementary School Language Based Learning:LAB Program: Language Achievement and BeyondLocation of Program: Israel Loring Elementary SchoolTarget Student Population : Specific Learning Disabilities Communication DisabilitiesThis program serves students for whom learning is challenging due to specific learning disabilities in one or more of the basic perceptual processes involved in understanding or using written or spoken language. These disabilities may manifest themselves in problems of listening thinking speaking reading and written language spelling and/or performing mathematical calculations. The LLD Program provides a language-based approach to learning. Students are grouped according to grade. Students within the program participate in small group language based English Language Arts mathematics skills instruction as well as direct decoding and encoding instruction with special educators and/or tutors. The aim is to provide students with direct specialized instruction and support while building and developing independent use of taught commensurate with Unit A Salary Schedule in CBA online at Experience:
