System EngineerWe are currently in search of a System Engineer to join our Research and Development department of the Marquardt Group in our location Rochester Hills (USA).
TheSenior/ Lead System Engineer drives the systemarchitecture and technical development of advanced automotive electronic andmechatronic systems.The role requires strong system engineering expertise to define systemarchitecture manage complex requirements and lead cross-functionalengineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.The SeniorSystem Engineer will also serve as a key technical interface with customers andinternal stakeholders and is responsible for achieving technical deliverableswithin program timing and budget targets
Essential Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain system architecture for complexelectronic and mechatronic products
- Lead system requirements engineering including decomposition allocationand traceability
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into technical systemspecifications
- Coordinate technical development between software hardware mechanical andvalidation teams
- Lead system design reviews and technical risk assessments
- Support system integration verification and validation activities
- Identify and manage technical risks and system-level issues duringdevelopment
- Interface with customers on technical topics architecture discussions andrequirement clarification
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices andprocess improvements
- Support project planning activities by contributing totechnical effort estimation and resource planning
- Monitor system development progress to help ensuretechnical deliverables are achieved within program timing and budget targets
- Identify technical risks early and work with the projectteam to develop mitigation plans that protect project schedule and costobjectives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in ElectricalEngineering Systems Engineering Mechatronics or similar field
- 7 years of experience in automotive electronics or embedded systemdevelopment
- Proven experience in system architecture and requirements engineering
- Strong understanding of embedded systems electronics and softwareinteraction
- Strong understanding of mechatronic systems
- Understanding of wireless technologies suchas NFC BLE and UWB
- Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments
- Experience with automotive development frameworks (ASPICE ISO 26262)
- Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS)
- Familiarity with issue tracking and issue resolution tools and methodologies(Jira 8D 5-Why)
- Experience working with automotive OEM customers
Travel:
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed (10%).
