As a Category Manager at NCC you will take on a dynamic role that operates at both strategic and tactical levels. You will lead to set and implement a future-oriented strategy in collaboration with other business areas that is fully aligned with business strategy and allowing NCC to be seen as a preferred customer by our suppliers.
The role and key responsibilities
In the role of Category Manager you work closely with the business and lead category strategies according to NCCs strategic direction. You will be a central partner in the organization and collaborate with internal teams as well as external suppliers to ensure an efficient high-quality and sustainable supplier base. A key part of the role is to act as a change leader across the organization. You will drive transformation implement new ways of working and ensure adoption of category strategies in a complex matrixbased environment. Success in the role requires the ability to influence engage and lead stakeholders without formal line management responsibility.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies that support NCCs business and long-term goals.
- Lead the category team and ensure effective execution of strategies and activities.
- Build and develop strong supplier relationships through Supplier Relationship Management.
- Analyze market trends conduct risk assessments and provide insights and recommendations.
- Ensure the use of category strategies and framework agreements across the organization.
- Follow up on KPIs.

Your experience and background
We are looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with the ability to deliver strong operational results. You are analytical and communicative with experience in navigating complex environments. With a solid background in category management procurement and developing competitive supply chains supported by an academic degree in engineering business economics or a related field you lead confidently in matrix organizations and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Your strong understanding of supply chain dynamics risk management finance and contract management enables you to make informed datadriven decisions. You communicate fluently in English and a Nordic language. As a person you build strong relationships thrive in teamwork and work in a structured and focused way. Your curiosity adaptability and business mindset drive you to stay engaged learn continuously and contribute with energy and new perspectives.

You will be based in NCCs office in Solna Gothenburg or Malmö. Frequent traveling within the Nordic countries is required. However we do apply a flexible way of working and strive to collaborate digitally as much as possible.
