Trinity Lutheran Schools Early Childhood Department as an extension of the family is concerned for the whole child. Our goal is to introduce the fundamental core values of respect (1 Peter 2:17) responsibility (Galatians 6:5) integrity (Philippianss 4:8) compassion (Ephesians 4:32) strong work ethic (Colossians 3:23) and gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) in each of our students preparing each student to become a faithful member of the Body of Christ and a responsible citizen in the Teacher ResponsibilitiesFaith & Mission AlignmentModel and practice the Christian faith as defined by LCMS Lutheran support and apply the Mission Vision and Core Values of Trinity Lutheran a loving caring Christian environment that promotes each childs spiritual social cognitive physical and emotional church services at Trinity Lutheran Church as directed by the program administrator (typically twice per year).Complete adult instruction over the Lutheran Catechism during the first year of employment if non-synodically God and love Support & InstructionTake direction from the Lead Teacher in implementing and preparing with educational experiences included in weekly lesson plans developed by the Lead hands-on play-based learning and extend childrens thinking through guided with all aspects of childcare including feeding diapering toilet training rest time and classroom routines and expectations align with the programs mission vision and values and contribute to positive classroom with the Lead Teacher and other Safety & EnvironmentDemonstrate healthy safe and developmentally appropriate practices that promote hygiene and the classroom safe clean organized and free of hazards at all daily cleaning tasks including sweeping trash removal and sanitizing tables and chairs before and after HHS guidelines and all licensing policies and protocols outlined in the Staff & TeamworkMaintain professional and clear communication with parent concerns promptly to the Lead Teacher or Early Childhood and maintain cooperative and harmonious relationships with administrators and emails and staff postings ResponsibilitiesArrive promptly and maintain regular attendance with limited all required meetings and professional required reports records and forms accurately and on a minimum of 12 hours of professional development or obtain a CDA credential within the first year of flexible in adjusting tasks and schedules based on enrollment and classroom ParticipationVolunteer for at least two school-sponsored activities outside regular hours each and lead one departmental service project ExpectationsPerform other duties assigned by the Early Childhood Administrator or school administration in the best interest of Christian education and the welfare of the with colleagues in a manner that enhances the program as a whole and maintain professional relationships with STRUCTURE:The assistant teacher reports to the Lead Teacher(s) and the Early Childhood Administrator/Assistant Administrator.
