Responsible for leading supplier quality function for supporting project execution activities for HVDC project in India. This role involves accountability for driving quality assurance and development for assigned suppliers including quality plan implementation and quality deliverables in line with contractual requirements. The position works closely with procurement / logistics / project quality (assurance and control) and engineering teams internally and externally to Customer representatives. He / She shall be responsible for delivery of teams services towards notice of inspection supplier audits compliances GE Vernova witness program product NCR and CoPQ / COR processes requiring strong leadership skills to enforce Safety Quality Delivery and Cost (SQDC) priority to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with internal and external requirements. Senior Supplier Quality manager will operate within the quality framework outlined by the organization regional quality function and project quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Leads equipment and parts qualification adhering to our rigorous standards crafting initiatives to elevate supplier performance keeping keen eye on supplier metrics to drive continuous improvement and guiding suppliers towards unparalleled standards of excellence.
- Supplier Improvement : Drive supplier improvements through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process or product qualification and manage the Supplier Deviation Request (SDR) Process. Oversee the registration monitoring and management of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) Recovery.
- Supplier Development : Manage supplier development including assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence and built-in-quality QA. Own supplier results drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards.
- Review and approval of ITPs from quality perspective (not technical content).
- QMS and Compliance : Ensure the execution of Quality Management System (QMS) and Compliance requirements associated with Supplier Quality Management including supplier QMS Process Capability and development plans.
- Strategic Leadership : Lead the development and execution of short and mid-term Supplier Management strategies that provide a competitive edge in collaboration with Sourcing Operations Quality and Engineering teams.
- Process Improvement : Support digitalization and simplification of Suppler Management processes enhancing management and employee communication policy recommendations and performance dashboards.
- Development of transactional process between internal and external clients (project site supply chain consortium and end client.
- Performance Measurement : Be accountable for key Supplier Management metrics ensuring we maintain our standards of excellence. Quality reporting inclusive of Say do and OTD 8D for equipment non-conformance.
- Development and delivery of manufacturing record books in line with equipment phasing design procurement manufacturing delivery storage commissioning etc.
- Leverage technical expertise to solve moderate to highly complex problems drawing on internal and external sources beyond immediate team to make informed decision.
- Providing leadership to both quality and project teams on Supplier Quality Assurance and Control.
- Managing staffing requirements within team availability of competencies drive ramp-up actions to meet the project objectives from time to time.
- Understand the GE VERNOVA strategy and support its implementation towards customers partners suppliers and other GE VERNOVA employees.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree Level or equivalent in Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience
- In depth experience of Supplier Quality Equipment Quality ITP or manufacturing quality or similar preferably with HVDC projects valued over 50 M$.
- Exceptional knowledge and experience of ISO9001:2015 and ISO21500:2012 should be lead auditor for ISO9001:2015.
- ITP and MTP special processes knowledge.
- Knowledge of RCA CAPA 8D Methods.
- APQP PPAP experience would be added advantage.
- Good Communication Skills (Fluent English Spoken and written)
- Technical knowledge in electrical grids and ideally power electronics / HVDC will be an advantage.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks whilst maintaining accuracy within set time limits.

- Willing to travel extensively within India and overseas for meetings for HQ team.
