Senior Qualified Accountant
Johannesburg Area Accounting & Tax Consulting Firm
We are seeking an experienced Senior Qualified Accountant to join a well-established accounting and tax consulting firm in the Johannesburg area. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys working closely with clients providing financial insight and ensuring full compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients across various industries.

Prepare and review annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.

Oversee monthly management accounts reconciliations and reporting.

Ensure compliance with SARS regulations VAT and income tax requirements.

Liaise directly with clients providing financial advice and support.

Review work completed by junior accountants and provide guidance where required.

Assist with tax planning and identifying opportunities for client efficiencies.

Maintain strong internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements
-
Qualified Accountant (CA(SA) SAIPA SAICA or equivalent).

5 years experience in an accounting or audit firm environment.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting tax compliance and SARS processes.

Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.

Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.
