Job Description:
To manage the day to day Online activities related to hotel brandsite and third party website including CDS ensuring that rates and allocation are correctly appearing on all Online channels. Updating of Online bookings into hotels PMS and managing them until the guest has checked-in. This job will require working on weekends and holidays.
- Daily management of rates and availability for manages hotels
- Daily updating of close outs
- Responding to all guest requests within 24 hours. All arrivals in the next 48 hours should be responded to within 6 hours of receiving the request.
- Assist hotels with various reports pertaining to Online bookings.
- May involve management B2B close outs based on yielding strategy.
- On weekends you may be required to check emails and take calls especially for last minute close outs etc.
- Assist E-commerce team with property audits.
- Taking E-commerce telephone calls in standard manner.
- Ensuring that lookers are converted into bookers especially when handling chat function as well as discussing rates and availability with prospective guest on phone
- Looking for new B2B and B2C accounts which may generate additional revenue for the group.
- Preparing E-commerce pick up report
- Ensuring that Data Privacy policies are always followed
- Managing 3rd party credit card issues and any other issues related to E-commerce generated bookings to together with hotel
- Ensuring that minimum selling rates for Online channels are followed at all times to avoid conflict with sales.
- Daily management of extranets
- Checking of booking and market segment in PMS
Qualifications:
- Graduate of HRM Tourism Mass Communication or Advertising
- Minimum 1 year experience working in E-commerce/ Reservation department of a hotel or Online Travel Agency.
- Knowledge of basic Microsoft Word & Excel is desirable
- Knowledge of Internet Websites and Online Travel Agent
- Knowledge of creating promotional materials and using Adobe Photoshop is an advantage
- Computer literate
- Able and willing to work independently on weekends and holidays
- Relationship skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to take decisions and do tasks as approved and asked by the department managers
