Job Summary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be licensed (unrestricted) as a medical doctor by the State of Texas and be Board Certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry in the State of Texas.

Must have current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).

Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#).

Must complete facility and client required training

Psychiatrist must be proficient in computers/electronics health records.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Child Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing treating psychiatric disorders and performing psychiatric assessments providing timely and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.

Must be able to work in a team environment.

Must have good communication skills organized and able to present information.

Justification of medication use.

Able to work with minimal supervision.
