The Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University in Ames Iowa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in public relations or advertising.
The successful candidate will be expected to build a nationally or internationally recognized research program; teach undergraduate and graduate courses; and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the school. Research should complement one or more existing strengths in the department which include science health and global communication. Additionally the successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching at all levels and performance of service duties.
PhD in journalism and mass communication strategic communication or a related area
Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital media and strategic communication
Strong potential to establish a successful research program that builds on existing strengths in the department
Strong potential for collaboration with other faculty and units on campus.
