Primary Duties
1. Provide athletics healthcare to the mens/womens cross country & track and field programs.
2. Evaluate diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
3. Design and implement rehabilitation and return to play progressions.
4. Provide therapeutic interventions and utilize therapeutic modalities.
5. Recognize the presentation of concerning mental health symptoms and appropriately refer for support.
6. Communication and collaboration with sport performance coaches.
7. Coordination of care with other allied health care providers.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelors degree.
BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
Must hold or be eligible for a Michigan Athletic Trainer License.
Strong commitment to timely accurate and complete electronic medical record keeping in compliance with FERPA and healthcare standards.
Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Motivated and open to sharing ideas for improvement.
Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to counsel patients and interact professionally.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Preferred
1 year of professional clinical athletic training experience in a collegiate environment.
Working Conditions
Normal clinical environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Travel required.
Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to stand walk/jog and lift or move up to 60 pounds. This position requires the ability to work extended hours and/or weekends. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
