About the role
MacKillops Out of Home Care (OOHC) Division provides residential care home based care lead tenant and case management support for young people with high and complex needs and a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements. This position is situated within Northern Services which is part of the OOHC Division and reports to the Area Manager Northern Services
The Home Based Care Coordinator is responsible for supervising Home Based Care case management staff. The Coordinator will hold overall responsibility for maintaining a pool of active caregivers and oversee specific day to day operational and administrative requirements of the Home Based Care Program.
This is a Full-time opportunity based in Preston 3072 within our Northern Care Services Program. The position reports to the Area Manager Northern Services

Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture values and the issues affecting Aboriginal children and families.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or a related field with relevant experience in child protection or home-based care.
- Proven leadership and staff supervision experience.
- Strong casework and assessment skills with a trauma-informed approach.
- Ability to deliver child-safe practices and uphold compliance standards.
- Capacity to work collaboratively and represent MacKillops values and objectives.

- Valid and current Drivers Licence;
