Job Summary
Under immediate supervision the Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out all custodial jobs performing janitorial and maintenance of department premises. Employee performs light medium and heavy janitorial and custodial services in and outside of public areas or building as assigned. Performs custodian duties and responsibilities throughout the day. Employee performs routine maintenance activities notifying immediate supervisor of need for repairs. Employee must abide by and ensure all safety rules and regulations. The employee has a high degree of contact with city personnel and the public which requires tack diplomacy and bilingual skills.
