$16.00 Hourly Non-Exempt (Not eligible for overtime)
Raises available twice a year based on Fall Orientation attendance number of workshops completed and hours worked during the year
Hours per week: As a stagehand you WILL NOTwork every day or even weekly- Hours are only available when we have shows/events scheduled.
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Purpose of Position

Stagehand work at the Chester Fritz consists of the unloading and set-up of equipment for live shows/events tear-down after shows and the reloading of trucks also assist in the setup of the stage for smaller events at the Fritz.

What Youll Do:

Help load and unload trucks with show gear
Assist with the setup and tearing down stage equipment
Work with lights sound scenery props and other stage elements
Support production teams with backstage tasks during events

Required Competencies

Able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
RELIABLE and on time
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willing to ask questions and learn
Able to follow directions and stay focused
Comfortable working nights and weekends as needed
No experience necessary! If you can follow directions and work as part of a team you can do this job.

Preferred Qualifications

Patience- there maybe periods of time youll be waiting for others to finish their job before you can complete yours
Ability to work well with others
Must be available and willing to work some nights and weekends
Willingness to learn new things
