Job Title: Guidewire Tester
Position: Senior Test Engineer
Experience: 4 - 7 Years

Education Qualification: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Position Description:
Works independently under limited supervision. Possess sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively deal with issues challenges and report the same to development team/ Test lead/ Test manager and update the defect-tracking tool as appropriate.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Analysing user stories and/use cases/requirements for validity and feasibility.
Responsible for Test execution (System Integration End-to-End and Regression)) analyse the results and logging observations/defects.
Prepare all reports related to software testing carried out.
Ensure that all tested related work is carried out as per the defined standards and procedures.
Participate in the scrum daily standup meeting apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
Interact with the Business analyst development team clients to better understand the product requirements or in case the design requires any kind of modifications.
Provide support and documentation.
Carry out regression testing every time when changes are made to the defect fixes.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must-Have Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent degree with 4-6 years of solid Guidewire testing experience.
Experience on Insurance Domain.
Overall Guidewire testing across xCenters viz. Policy Billing Claim Center & Integrations
Preferable to have knowledge on Guidewire API testing.
Experience in Agile / Scrum methodology.
Strong at SDLC and Software Testing Life Cycles (STLC).
Should have strong testing methodologies and have worked on test management tools like Jira Zephyr Confluence Quality Center.
Should have experience in creating Test Plan and estimating testing deliverables.
Should have a good knowledge of SQL and able to write medium and complex SQL queries with inner and outer joins.
Should be flexible to work on Automation testing.
Good communication and collaborative skills - ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
Testing applications from legacy to latest technologies like Mainframe Oracle Apps Java web based etc.
Experience in test coverage analysis.

Good to have skills:
Certifications on Insurance domain.
Experience / Exposure to Test Automation (Selenium / SOAP UI).
Guidewire QA certification (Optional).
Certifications on Agile / Software Testing
