Portland Community Colleges Medical Imaging program is seeking a full-time instructor effective September 1 2026 beginning the 2026/2027 academic year.
Portland Community College serves nearly 60000 full and part-time students across a large and diverse service area with four campuses and multiple education centers. The primary office location will be Sylvania addition there will be some occasions where business will be required at other PCC or off-site locations. This position includes travel to clinic locations in the Portland Metro area for site visits and meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Science or Radiography
Bachelor degree or higher in any field or obtain within 18 months of hire
Current ARRT certification
Oregon license in radiography or obtain within 3 months
3 years or more radiography work experience. Recent teaching experience at the college level or industry training experience or a combination of the two may be substituted year for year for recent experience in the Imaging industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional Medical Imaging certifications
Experience teaching Radiographic positioning and procedures

Experience in medical imaging education at an educational or healthcare setting in a variety of modalities or educational delivery methods which is responsive to student learning needs.
Demonstrated clinical experience including a wide scope and variety of radiologic procedures in clinical and/or hospital settings.
Experience as a team member using creative problem solving
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects deadlines and technology.
Ability to coach students as they navigate the clinical setting and synthesize classroom learning as it applies to clinical application.
Demonstrated skills with culturally responsive education and a trauma-informed lens to a wide range of students to create and nurture a sense of community well-being and belonging.

Initial Salary Placement will be between Step 1 ($73911) and Step 3 ($78408) based on related experience per PCCs collective bargaining agreement.
