This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced attorney to lead a team drive impactful advocacy and help advance civil rights across the state.

Job Title: Education Team Leader
Location: Mostly remote / Ohio Hybrid work environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active license and good standing with the Ohio Bar (or ability to obtain)
  • Admission to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio (or ability to obtain)
  • Knowledge of and experience pursuing rights and remedies available under federal and state laws protecting students with disabilities
  • Knowledge of and experience pursuing rights and remedies available under federal and state laws on vocational rehabilitation and protecting employees with disabilities
  • Experience with review and comment on federal and state laws regulations and rules in special education and vocational rehabilitation
  • Systemic advocacy on behalf of students or employees with disabilities
  • Experience collaborating with organizations and stakeholders in special education and vocational rehabilitation
  • Participation on or with state-wide committees or groups focused on special education or vocational rehabilitation
