Project Manager Civil

A well-established engineering organisation operating within the UK water and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple projects across several operational sites.

Role Overview
The Project Manager will take responsibility for the full lifecycle delivery of multiple civil engineering projects ensuring that time budget scope and quality objectives are successfully achieved.
You will play a key role in building strong client relationships supporting operational teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely efficiently and to a high professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new project opportunities through business relationships
Prepare client proposals based on appropriate engineering solutions
Manage projects from initiation through to completion with full responsibility for financial performance (P&L)
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously and report on financial and schedule performance
Define project scope and maintain control using structured project management processes
Ensure high standards of health and safety through supervision inspections and monitoring
Conduct site inspections and produce risk assessments where required
Obtain necessary permits and authorisations for site work
Act as the main point of contact for engineers and technical staff regarding project and contract queries
Provide updates to senior management on project performance
Manage supplier orders and delivery coordination
Deliver toolbox talks safety briefings and maintain accurate site documentation
Investigate and report incidents in line with company and client procedures
Requirements
Experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects on operational sites
Knowledge of project delivery within engineering environments (water industry experience beneficial but not essential)
Ability to clearly define project scope and develop structured delivery plans
Strong commercial awareness and financial management capability
Strong analytical and organisational skills
Ability to motivate and lead project teams
Qualifications
HND in Engineering (essential)
BEng or BSc in Engineering (preferred)
PRINCE2 Practitioner certification
