The Role
Origina is seeking an exceptional high-impactseller and executive networkerfor the role ofSenior Business Development Manager UK.This is a critical individual contributor position reporting directly to theVice President of SalesEMEA & APAC.You are responsible for spearheading Originas further expansion across the UK territory. You will architect and execute sophisticated entry strategies into Global 2000 accountsin your region directly and in partnership with SIs Advisory firms and the IT Channel.
This is a field-based position requiring a master of face-to-face executive engagement. You will be responsible for challenging the status quo of incumbent OEMs at the C-Suite level navigating complex procurement landscapes and securing high-value strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Hunting:Spearhead the end-to-end pursuit of high-value Greenfield enterprise accounts moving beyond digital outreach to secure and lead face-to-face boardroom presentations.
- C-Suite Engagement:Act as a strategic advisor to CIOs CTOs and SAM and Procurement Directors articulating the financial and operational ROI of software independence.
- Strategic Market Leadership: Develop and own a 12-month Attack Plan for the UK territory identifying high-potential verticals and displacement opportunities for IBM HCL VMware and others (we continue to innovate its in our DNA to help customers unlock themselves from detrimental contracts)
- High-Stakes Networking:Represent Origina as a thought leader at premier industry conferences and field events leveraging your personal network to build a high-integrity enterprise pipeline.
- Channel Synergy:Partner with the Channel team to identify and activate high-tier strategic partners capable of co-selling into massive enterprise environments.
- Market Intelligence:Monitor competitor tactics and OEM roadmap changes (e.g. vendor-driven disruption) to proactively position Origina as the primary risk-mitigation partner.
About You
- Proven Hunting Pedigree:710 years of senior business development or enterprise sales experience specifically within IT services SaaS or software maintenance.
- Executive Gravitas:A storyteller with the presence and confidence to command a room of senior stakeholders and handle high-pressure negotiations.
- Master of Displacement:Demonstrated experience in successfully displacing Mega-Vendors (IBM Oracle SAP) by selling complex non-traditional solutions. We challenge the status quo.
- Financial Literacy:Ability to build and present sophisticated business cases focused on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) CAPEX/OPEX shifts and long-term ROI.
- Field-First Mindset:A proactive self-starter with a full driving license and a willingness for frequent regional travel (approx. 40-50%) to meet prospects face-to-face.
- Global Cultural Intelligence:Experience working across diverse markets with the ability to adapt communication styles to different cultural and business norms.
